Authors at Your Library: Al Conetto
Monday, April 9 @ 12 PM

Author Al Conetto discusses and signs his novel, The Hump - The 1st Battalion, 503rd Airborne Infantry, in the First Major Battle of the Vietnam War.
Operation Hump, the first major battle between the U.S. Army and the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces, took place November 5-9, 1965. This survivor's memoir draws upon official Army documents and the recollections of fellow combatants. The account describes the battle in detail, but also explores the survivor's post-combat experience dealing with PTSD and his eventual return to Vietnam in the 1990s.
Copies of the author's book will be available for sale at this event.
