Puppy Tales

Bring your child and have them read their favorite story to our certified therapy dogs.




Summer Reading Kick-Off Luau
Saturday, June 2 @ 2 PM

Kick off Summer Reading with a Hawaiian Luau! We'll have a performance by Hula Ohana, Hawaiian-themed crafts, and Hawaiian Punch.

Don't forget to pick up your reading logs! 

Our Summer Reading program is for ages newborn through 17.

Presented in cooperation with the Fort Knox Spouses Club.

Barr Memorial Library will be closed Monday, May 28 in honor of Memorial Day.

We will reopen Tuesday, May 29 at 9 AM.

Join us at the Barr Library MakerSpace for monthly STEM tinkering time with magnets, LEGO Bricks, gears and more. For ages 5+. 




Authors at Your Library: Kim Michele Richardson
Thursday, May 17 @ 6 PM

Kim Michele Richardson discusses and signs The Sisters of Glass Ferry. She is the author of GodPretty in the Tobacco Field, the story of a young girl living in rural eastern Kentucky in the 1960's, the memoir The Unbreakable Child, and the novel Liar's Bench.

Books will be available for purchase at the event.




After Hours Live featuring Matt Beilis
Friday, May 18 @ 6 PM

Army Entertainment presents After Hours Live at Barr Library featuring live music from singer/songwriter Matt Beilis.

Complementary hors d'oeuvres while supplies last.
Local wine presentation and FREE tasting by Republic National Distributing.
Wine and Beer available for purchase.

Make a soft protective sleeve for your electronic device. Bring your device with you for accurate measurements. 

All materials will be provided for one sleeve. Ages 12+.




Crafternoon

Let your kids get creative at Crafternoon with a fun project. For ages 8-12.



Sensory Story Time
Friday, May 11 @ 10 AM

A special story time for children who are sensitive to sensory overload, struggle in large groups, or are on the autism spectrum.

Space is limited to 10 children. Parent participation is required.
