Army Strong B.A.N.D.S Storywalk

Combine reading and fitness at the Army Strong B.A.N.D.S. Storywalk.
  1. Individual pages of a book are laminated onto stakes and placed around a walking route.
  2. Families read a page and then walk to the next page.
  3. By the end of the route, you've read a book and walked the entire course!

Authors at Your Library: Michael Moreci
Thursday, April 19 @ 6 PM

Michael Moreci discusses and signs his debut science-fiction novel Black Star Renegades. He is the creator of numerous original comic series such as Roche Limit and Burning Fields and is a regular contributor to DC Comics, writing Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Suicide Squad. He is a contributor to the Star Wars universe, writing for LucasFilm's official Star Wars website.
Books will be available for purchase at the event.

Authors at Your Library: Al Conetto
Monday, April 9 @ 12 PM

Author Al Conetto discusses and signs his novel, The Hump - The 1st Battalion, 503rd Airborne Infantry, in the First Major Battle of the Vietnam War.
Operation Hump, the first major battle between the U.S. Army and the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces, took place November 5-9, 1965. This survivor's memoir draws upon official Army documents and the recollections of fellow combatants. The account describes the battle in detail, but also explores the survivor's post-combat experience dealing with PTSD and his eventual return to Vietnam in the 1990s.
Copies of the author's book will be available for sale at this event.
