Veteran's Day Closure

Barr Memorial Library will be closed on Monday, November 12, in observance of Veteran's Day.  The library will reopen on Tuesday, November 13, at 9:00 AM.

FREE trial of Catalist Digital Audiobook Service

Barr Library is pleased to announce a 90 day FREE trial of the Catalist Digital audiobook  program.

To join the trial, simply download the app on your smartphone or tablet from the Google Play or the iOS App Store  and follow the instructions. 

If you don't have a smartphone or tablet, you can still listen to the books online with your computer at https://barrmemorial.catalistdigital.com/

The trial will run from October 15, 2012 through January 12, 2013.

Cooking for the Holidays with Authors at Your Library

The Library is whipping up one last Authors at Your Library program for 2012 with the November 29, 2012, 6:00 PM appearance of Nora Sweat.  Ms. Sweat, author of Mama & Me: A Collection of Central Kentucky Recipes and Stories, will be talking about her work just in time for end of the year party preparation.  A limited number of copies of Mama & Me will be available for sale the night of the program.

New Hours Effective October 22

Library hours will change effective Monday, October 22.

The new hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM; Friday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; closed on Sundays and Federal Holidays.
